Remember this moment, June 09 2005 15:48. It shall be known as The Moment.
By decree of me, I announce that all humans are jerks. This new fabulous categorization retroactively applies to those who lived prior to The Moment and also shall apply to every human present and future. Day of the dorks
I went shopping for appliances today due to my impending in-town move (and well the old appliances came with the appartment I'm moving out from).
At Brault & Martinault I hear some lady asking the salesman if the freakin smooth top ranges (stoves if you prefer) will go out of style or what. WTF #1.
Then we tally the points for all the appliances we saw and the results look like we're going to get two appliances (range and refrigerator) that don't really match (one's white and the other's steel). I couldn't care less. I don't give a shitfuck rat face ass crap about it. Then one of our relatives almost cries (really) when learning that we are getting two un-matched appliances for the same room. WTF #2.
WTF#1:
WTF IS THE MATTER WITH YOU PEOPLE! Why do so many people need to conform so bad that they would never dare have something that is out or may be going out of "general approved style". Do you have some major disfunction? Do you need to be told what's ugly and what's not? What is ok to have and what is not? Pathetic. It may even be worse because it was about a stove. How about wondering if you find coils or smooth more practical? More energy efficient? More resistant? BUT NO, YOU GO AND FUCKING ASK AS QUESTION NUMERO UNO WHAT ARE OTHER PEOPLE STILL GOING TO LIKE IN FUCKING X YEARS. Well maybe since you need to be told so bad what to do, here's a few tips:
1-Make your own mind about what is GOOD and BAD (on questions of prettiness, usefulness, etc...the whole fucking deal). Sorry, you will have to work by yourself yes. I hope it's not too demanding.
2-Buy shit that gets a lot of GOOD points.
3-Be happy and stop worrying about legions of people who are NOT using your stuff.
4-Evaluate your current stuff based on your own criteria again. If you have things you find BAD now because you changed YOUR OWN MIND BY YOURSELF AFTER X TIME (which is fine), stick with them until they break, sell them, give them to needy people, rework them to a state of GOOD. Whatever. Don't throw them away please. The landfills don't need anything to be happy. They told me.
I'm done with you now. Go and be happy, fool.
On to WTF#2:
WTF IS WRONG WITH YOU!!! There's no need to freak about other people's aesthetic choices. Sure you might tell them you wouldn't do it, or that you don't like it... we're glad to get the input, but they don't really influence the parameters of our decision-taking model. WHY IN THE WORLD would you get all worked up about that, to the verge or crying and all? Are those freakin appliances going to be in your house? No. Geez. (As a side note... even if they were I find it VERY FUCKING SAD that you would be very unhappy because things are not 'matching' or 'go together' or aren't fucking ugly in your house) ... anyways I found it very comical in a what-a-dumb-reaction kinda way, but some others may be more fragile about it. Please stop fucking with the minds of the people in my household. I like it when it's joy joy or regular regular, not sad sad ALRIGHT?
Shit I'm all out of steam to vent. Wrap-up time.
Wrap-up...
I shall conclude by saying that Kenmore (Sears brand or something) rock because they have very energy efficient appliances. "Bottom mount freezer french-door" refrigerators look like the most practical and cool thing to have, but since they are not that energy efficient and pretty expensive too, they get my boot in their arse. Thanks to the unitedstaterian (what's the deal with calling US stuff american, anyways?) EnergyGuide and canadian EnerGuide for providing me data on which to base my choices for a cleaner tomorrow. Hopefully, I did good. And yeah, I hope to get that white range and the stainless steel fridge to prove the whole stupid world that appliances of different colors can live happily together. Happy Together... Happy Together... (the song, yeah)

Je pense qu'à part mon ami d'enfance, Dominique, je n'ai personne que j'appelerais pour faire de quoi comme ça. C'est étrange.
Tous mes ami(e)s sont plus les amis de raph que mes amis... alors on dirait que je n'ai personne que je considère quelqu'un que "j'appelerais pour faire de quoi".
Lesson learned... appelez-moi donc un moment donné pour faire de quoi, comme ça je vais pouvoir vous mettre sur ma liste de monde que je pourrais appeller. Maybe we'll become best buds! (Well 2nd best buds... Dominique's got first place for good).

Sleep and lack thereof.
'Thereof's a nice word. I still prefer 'thence' though. I used to like 'thrice' also as a word, but some band completely ruined it for me. Ah.... snap.
I didn't sleep last night. I'm tired.
When I was young, I used to be able to go all night no problem. Now, around 10 or 11 in the morning I start to get headaches and shit. It sucks. How am I suppose to finish my homework? Good thing it's now all due at midnight thanks to electronic submission.
Interestingly enough is that sleeping anything from 2 to 10 hours provides the same new energy to me. I won't argue that it's not harder to get up after 2 hours than after 10, BUT I'm in no way more or less tired after sleeping anything from 2 to 10 hours, once I am correctly awaken (which takes around 15 min). I do tire a little faster afterwards, but very little. Something in the amount of getting tired 1 hour sooner if I slept less than 4 hours.
What's interesting is that some people tend to die of heart attacks after not sleeping for extended periods of time. Interesting indeed. Why I wonder... It's not like the heart slows down that significantly when you sleep. I mean in an amount that would logically suggest that it will blow up if you don't sleep. This case being made, I wonder how long I could last. I don't really want to find out though, I'd just like to know. How long before the tank runs out. I'm sure I could stay awake until death. My ability to cope with tiresomeness is just that super. Super super. I wonder if anyone ever suicided by staying awake for too long, like on purpose? Odd.
Well time to regenerate my ass in bed now I guess. I love you my little blood pump, keep truckin'.

What I've seen and what I'll see...
Michel Gondry + Charlie Kauffman = sweetness.
I saw the Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and it was very good. You should see it too.
I used to think Jim Carrey was a goofball with a lot of face-making abilities. It seems that he also has very decent acting abilities :) That's not solely based on this movie, but this one highlights this fact.
I also saw Jack Layton on 'Tout le monde en parle'. Still glad I voted for his crew.
Now I should go see my homework. Compilers don't write themselves, do they?

...Sherbrooke street. I love you sherby, girl! You've been my walking whore for the last three years and for that I lift my ninja-hat to you. But tomonthrow I'll be going towards greener, calmer pastures.
So yes, I'm getting out of this place and the east-side altogether because all the cool kids are moving here around here. Gotta be one step ahead, you know! Our next place is located in ahuntsic or something, close to the cremazie metro station. It's a real nice place, a little too expensive for my budget, but those student loans gotta be used, right? You should all come by to visit sometime. We'll be living just above a nice old lady, so no noisy partying or loud noise-making really, but I can live with that. We'll party somewhere else - like we always do anyways!!...
If anyone knows someone who could be interested by our current place (4½) on Sherbrooke street near Cadillac metro station for around 596 per month, heating and taxes included, as well as a fridge and stove.... it's going to be vacant on November 1st.
That's that....Bonkers to you mis amigos. And may I add that Hay sol en mi corazón porque el tiempo de los suéteres está volviendo. Es el mejor tiempo del año.

Raph's birthday is tomorrow for those who forgot or knew but didn't think about it or pretended like they knew about it but still needed to hear about the exact date just to make sure they had it right but of course they won't tell you first and then you can tell them if they got it right because they don't have a clue what the date is but won't say it like that because it's like admitting they had no idea in the first place and this would bring them shame like that of the samurai that failed to protect his leader against the evil ninjas.

So my friend was saying....

Election time
Please don't vote Conservative. Please please please! :)
Stephen Harper and his wrecking crew are really giving me bad nightmares. He basically stands against a lot of social improvements that have been hard to achieve in the last few years.
A few fun facts about the PC crew (Harper first):
-Harper gave his full support to Rob Anders, a Calgary-West conservative which declared in 2001 that Nelson Mandela is "a communist and terrorist." This statement by Mr Anders came as Nelson Mandela was nominated as an honorary canadian citizen.
-Harper said that biliguism is a failure of God. Now what the hell does that mean? It does sound terribly xenophobic though.
-Let's not forget about his stand against Kyoto. Not only would he withdraw Canada from a signed treaty, but it could jeopardize Kyoto altogether considering how fragile this treaty is without support from the US or Russia.
Let's not forget about Stockwell Day, the #2 guy in this great crew:
-Commented "I want to know how many women in Alberta are physically beaten, not only insulted by their husband. If we are only talking about insulted women, well I'm afraid of being guilty once and then of asbuse on my wife..." when questionned about a study about women abuse at home.
-Commented that the presentation of gay leaders to Alberta political leaders was an "...offense to God...".
-And my favorite is when he said that "Homosexualité is a mental disorder that can be cured by therapeutic ways".
-Let's not forget when he suggested to throw a kid that commited a murder in an adult jail so that prisoners could take care of him in ways we do not have the courage to enforce.

I hope you all had a merry christmas or whatnot and lots of cool presents, especially those that you wouldn't have bought yourself because they are too expensive and then you were like cool i got that gift which I didn't want to buy the other time because it's too expensive and that's pretty cool, yo.
Something like that. If you don't know what to answer to this funky message, just tell me what you got for xmas :) I got a game (GTA Vice City), some cool clothes so yay you won't see me wearing the same thing as much anymore, money which is always welcome, super-useful furniture, and nofx's new album which rocks (I hadn't bought or listened actively to anything nofx in like 5 years)... but when Fat Mike said that he'd spend some time trying to screw over the Bush administration, I knew it was time to get back on the Nofx boat.
Plus I had to buy a new video because mine exploded (or maybe just stopped working and I wasn't able to fix it). I might still try to fix it / have it fixed, because I hate throwing anything out in the garbage... yeah you know me.

WHO'S YOUR DADDY....
...CONCORDIA!?? eheheh Well they gave me 1000$ to believe it's me, so I will. Thank you to them for financing my own birthday gift I'll make to myself (no, I won't spend the whole 1000 you crazy bunch of crazed crazos). So saturday I'm one year closer to being really old. Reggie - What the fuck is up with the songs like any US pop-punk high school band (maybe short of the keyboard). These songs sux0r BAD. They degrade my mind. Plus he has the most annooooooying winy (sp?) voice.... I am deeply annoyed. Good slayer cover though, eheh. And good stage presence, that was fun. Fun to watch, annoying to hear. I feel bad for people who like Reggie, they have to put up with his voice! :) Maybe he has better songs where he doesn't sing like that? Let's hope. Bleh!
Alkaline Quatuor (feat. a semi-hidden 2nd guitarist)- Hello, I am Matt Skeeba, please insert guita! Robot band. Does anything ever happen on stage? I guess not. Next song, next song, change guitar, next song. Good songs though. What's up with the hidden 2nd guitarist?? Boring to watch, fun to hear.
